Brandon’s campaign is driven by a vision of a just, livable, and inclusive Duluth.

  •  Brandon supports expanding crisis response teams and investing in mental health and addiction services to better address the root causes of undesirable behaviors and unjust social conditions of the marginalized. To better address the root causes of visible issues we need to fund outreach positions, clean and safe teams, crisis response, safe injection sites, and treatment facilities — not criminalize survival behaviors.

  •  To combat Duluth’s housing crisis, Brandon advocates for responsible, community-centered development. He supports affordable housing and more judicious and responsible use of TIF (Tax Increment Financing) which would strengthen our city, county, and school district tax base without overburdening working families. He also strongly supports the Duluth Tenants Union ‘Right to Repair’ Ordinance proposal.

  •  Brandon champions policies that reduce the cost of living, raise wages, and support small businesses. He wants a city economy that uplifts workers and encourages sustainable, people-focused growth.

  •  Recognizing that nearly a third of Duluthians lack reliable vehicle access, Brandon supports improving public transit and creating safer, more walkable and bikeable neighborhoods. Maintaining multimodal routes throughout all seasons and municipal sidewalk clearing services, in addition to motor roadway servicing, are a priority.

  •  He is committed to defending libraries, parks, and public spaces from privatization—ensuring they remain inclusive and open to all.

  •  Brandon will establish a bi-weekly constituent cabinet, a public forum to shape policy and keep leaders accountable. He also advocates for structural reforms—like better compensation and staff support for councilors—to make city government more accessible to working-class candidates.

  • He stands firm against authoritarian policies and vows to defend the rights of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ residents, immigrants, and all marginalized communities.

  • Brandon believes in building a more equitable Duluth by addressing continued educational inequities, expanding access to childcare, and increasing access to amenities like neighborhood grocery stores.
